I Spot the Lilly

So Saturday afternoon, I dragged my best friend with me into Lilly Pulitzer  at Belk's, and made her help me find a perfect Lilly dress. I have never owned a Lilly Pulitzer dress, and I really want one. So I obviously knew I wasn't going to walk out the store with one yesterday, but I decided to have a little fun and try on a few dresses. What was even more fun was having my best friend run around the store picking up dresses for me, making sure I had the right size and all. Plus I changed her views on Lilly. She went from "really this stuff? It's to... ew"  to "you got to have that dress! There's so much pink I love this!"

So the first dress I feel in love with in .05 seconds is the Sofia Lace Shift Dress in Ooh La La. I don't know what it is but I fell in love. I'm more of a shift dress person because of the way I'm shaped, plus they are extremely classy and elegant. I think I'm also in love with the lace detail and the print. I love the colors and how it matches with my tone. Let's just say I'm in love.

The second one was Lenore Lace Cut-Out Sundress. At first I didn't like the cut-out part by looking at it cause I thought it might show a little more skin than wanted. But when I ,tried, was forced to try the dress on I was actually wrong. This dress is really comfortable and of course it's in Ooh La La. This dress does run small though, I had to go up a couple sizes. I think it's really cute but I'm not crushing over it as much as I am the shift dress,

And last but not least, the Willow Dress in Multi So A Peeling. I was yet again forced into this one. This dress is adorable I will not lie, I love it actually. I just don't like print. Like some other Lilly prints, I don't like the way the color looks with my skin, the reason I refuse to wear orange, but I'd buy the print if it was an agenda, tumbler, notepad, anything but clothing. That's how I feel about this one. However they do have the dress in Resort White in a Pinch and I'd be willing to go with that one.

So there's the three dresses I thought were extremely cute. But I'd really like to hear y'all thoughts! So if you could, tell me which one you like best and help me pick the right one!

Seeking Christ

" How completely satisfying to turn from our limitations to a God who has none"

Seeking Christ and fully surrendering my life wasn't easy at all. And honestly I'm still in the process of becoming a stronger Christian. In general , Christ is the way! Without Christ, you are dead (spiritually) , and you living a sinful life which is doing nothing but draining you. And that can be a really tiring, horrible lifestyle. Now I'm not perfect and I don't have everything together, but I know where to turn when I'm lost. Christ. There's so many reasons to come to Christ though. Like the fact that you'll be guaranteed eternal life, should be enough to make you drop to yours knees and fully surrender, to know that you're not going to spend eternity burning or fearing for your life is a really great feeling! So if you want eternal life, peace, happiness, joy, and a great life; Come on join the journey and follow these steps below.

So starting your Christian journey isn't going to be peaches and cream, honestly the walk isn't easy at all but you've got to be strong and continue pushing.

The first thing you should do when coming to Christ is repent. You need to repent and ask for all the forgiveness of all your sins and mean it from your heart! It does you no good to just say, "Lord, forgive me," and then do the same things the next minute! You got to mean it in order to see results.

Then you have to fall in love with God. Meaning praying, fasting, giving Him your time, meditating, and just living by His rules and commandments. You also have to be serious about your walk. Everyday you should ask yourself, "Do I have an carry-out Christian spirit", meaning I'm only a Christian inside of church ? "Is it really in my heart to serve God?",  and "Am I doing what God has me to do?"

Now you may be wondering, "what does God want me to do, what is my purpose?". The answer is to simply glorify him! That's your purpose, unless He has showed you something different, and even in that, you're still glorifying him! When you give God the glory He deserves, you will live and speak from the heart. But you can also be NOT fulfilling your purpose, and that's if you are:
A. Lazy
B. Afraid
C. Don't Trust in God
D. Easily distracted.

If you're none of these things. then you're on a roll, if you do, don't stress! Pray about and it will all come unto you, but remember your prayer has to be sincere.

A few of verse I like to keep in mind:

- Therefore repent and turn back, so that you're sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord| Acts 3:19
- Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abound in steadfast love| Joel 2:13
- The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul| Psalm 10:7
- When you go through deep waters, I will be with you| Isaiah 43:2
